Changing Default Catalog Database Location for Acronis Backup and Recovery 11 11.5
The default path for Acronis Managed Machine Catalog folders is C:\ProgramData\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\MMS\Catalog. Due to space constraints, it is occasionally required to relocate the catalog to another location.
- Invoke Windows Registry (Start -> Run -> regedit)
- Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\MMS\Configuration\Catalog (create Catalog key if it does not exist)
- Create a string value CatalogDir and set it to the necessary path.
This will NOT move the existing catalog files to the new location. Deleting the catalog files from the existing default location is acceptable. A new catalog database will be created in the new location on the next backup task iteration.
The catalog can also be disabled on the Acronis Backup Management Server by modifying
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\AMS\Configuration\Catalog\Enabled
Possible values:0 (disables cataloging) or 1 (enables cataloging)
